Part of every complete anti-aging program is healthful - health giving food. Have you got a favorite recipe, meal, menu plan - that you love to make? We'd be delighted if you'd take a moment to share it with us so we can enjoy it too.
Home Made Protein Bars
1 1/4 - 1 1/2 cup Peanut Butter preferrably organic
1/2 - 3/4 cup Honey
Together these two ingredients should equal 2 cups. Put them into a pan and place over gentle heat till you can mix them together easily.
Add:
2/3 cup Non-instant Milk Powder
2 scoops Protein Powder of your choice
1/3 - 1/2 cup TVP minced (soy protein crumbles)
1 cup Cocoa
Mix everything together and press fimrly into a 9"x13" pan, (I use a small 3" rolling pin to make sure the bars will hold together), cut into squares, and cool in the fridge. I like to melt some chocolate and spread over the top, cool, then flip and spread chocolate on the other side. Once the bars are cool I break them up and individually wrap them. Can be kept in the fridge or freezer.
These are delicious. My husband and I turn to them whenever we want a little snack to tide us over, or for a bit of a lift during a long, hard day.
